The tax man Cometh

No one should be no surprise when the event has more legislative provisions adopted to enforce online merchants to collect sales tax. People in Washington do you need money, so that they can waste more time discussing the next debt ceiling increase when come back around. You need to live comfortably and we all know where the money comes from — those who had the good sense to start an online business. What is the name of the fish that swim in the bottom of the fins and single hitch along for the ride? Anyway, I'm just outside Toronto, and the Government here has been squeezing hard on just now. Welcome to the Club.

The Main Street Justice Act (MSFA) will change the existing legislation only required merchants to pay taxes, when they had a physical presence. BTW, love only the title of this piece? The cannula with a kind of Orwellian double-speak we have come to expect from us jackal politicians on both sides of the border. Under this new totalitarian piece of tripe even affiliates will have to pay sales tax. Notice how none of the politicians who talk personally taking cuts in their salaries to help reconstruct the tax coffers?

Politicians are the same dolts who keeps arguing benefits and horror with Internet online gambling as well. Currently, that industry is illegal in the United States, even billions, and the Bills keep getting introduced and won as the current one back on the fryer in New Jersey.

This is not a matter of paying taxes. I pay my own and keep detailed records of all transactions, as I am sure that most of my colleagues on the Internet. When something is wrong about working in a modern equivalent of gold and old school politicians and Government agencies come to us with their hands so they can extend their lifestyles, cushy Government and bulky ways of dying.

Most of us came to work online from other places, because we knew the world had changed and that continues to change. Sucks to hear cases where people who adhere to the old school Government feeding troughs are telling us we should pay our fair share. What we do. Perhaps it is time we learned to pare down and stand up to two feet. Gravy train has for a long time.
