Last week I covered that you need to target content. Each piece of content that you write must have a specific purpose, if this is to draw in traffic, build your list, or be used as a link back to your Web site.
It may seem like you need a ton of content to achieve your goals, but each piece of content can be repurposed and used for any other purpose.
That is a few Rewrites to avoid duplicate content. You can write an article for an article directory, register for a link back to your site, and then you can make some changes and publish your site. You may want to expand on it so when a reader visits your site from an article directory to get a little more information than the original.
Another way to reuse content is to create a small report from several older blog entries. Browse through the categories and see how many articles that relate to the same subject and then put them all together as free report can give. Since it would be through older posts to use again, there may be additions that you would like to make on the report. You can add content with new ideas and to do some Rewrites.
You can give that to your readers on your list, or you can use to start a new list of targeted.
Another way to reuse content are creating videos or sounds from the material. Dig up some older material, just as you would to create a report, but can use it to create a video or podcast instead. Audio content is extremely popular because people can download the files to your ipod or smart phone and listen while you do other things.
If the video or audio, which is not in the list of Favorite things to do you can use the content, to create an ecourse or even a Squidoo lens where you can offer relevant enterprise products. This also create another income stream for you and is another source of repayment. Look for
Amazon products that relate to your niche and propose these readers. You can also use other affiliate programs inside a Squidoo lens too.
If you've been blogging for any length of time, chances are you have too much content that is already written. Going back through this content reuse for other purposes, or as a new product or ecourse is a great way to save time, especially when it is not possible to think of what to write then. Plus also keeps your content fresh and gives new life. Sometimes older content not found on your blog, because it is buried way back in the archives. This is great material, renew, use through and makes it easier for readers to find.
Writing of new content on your site should not be difficult, and it is not necessary to be time consuming. Spend a day looking through the old content and see if you can bring new life into it.
Your reuse and repurpose your content? What are some ways that you can give new life to your old content?
