I suspect that all the technical information that you may ever need to be a successful blogger out there in the public domain. If that is the case, why do the vast majority of blogs fail when it comes to providing the owner can live on an income that make them comfortable?

First, I think a lot of bloggers psychological side of blogging grossly underestimate the and what is necessary in order to get their head in the first place.
Secondly, some bloggers who I speak to start with a real plan or purpose to keep them on track if and when things don't go according to the expectations. They just take a dip in the process with no real idea of where it will take them.
Today I want to show you a seven-step process for goal setting that will exponentially improve your chances of success with your blog.
You may be familiar with the smart method of goal setting because it's been around for decades. Bear with me, but if I expand on that process and way cooler and more usable for you — and much more likely to help you succeed.
Just in case you are not familiar with SMART, I'll give it a quick go through.
Is your target is specific enough that someone else can read and know exactly what you mean? A goal of having a popular blog fog this aspect, because it is too vague and subjective.
I have a popular blog, but if I gave my readers to Darren and took his in Exchange he would quite unhappy with the deal — he has about 40 times more than me.
"Owning a blog with at least 5,000 subscribers who earns $ 500 per month from AdSense" is the type of destination that this element nails.
The last example, you can at any point in time where you are in your plan. If you have, you're halfway there. 2,500 subscribers If you earn $ 400 a month, then you are 80% of the way to that goal. Have measurable goals is important to keeping your motivation and for you to know if things work or not.
Requires a target, if it is to be a real purpose, input in a particular form of you. in other words, you need to act and actually do something to make it happen. Lying in bed lot of people are buying your ebook that you have not yet promoted properly is not an end — it is the desire or a dream, and it is almost certain to fail miserably.
I'm not big on this aspect of the SLIM method, because unless something physically or scientifically impossible is, it is still realistic.
As Darren had told people eight years ago that he was planning on starting a blog and ProBlogger by 2011, he might have 150,000 subscribers and be one of the top 2,000 Web sites in the world according to Alexa, people are lining up to tell him that he would have that was unrealistic.
He was not, so don't worry too much about realistic. Understand there is a huge difference between something very difficult and impossible. Landing on the Moon was very difficult; landing on the Sun is impossible (unless you go at night!).
This is probably the most under-appreciated element of smart goals. Without a time frame targets have a habit of slipping.
Most people are are in the process and, as such, react and respond to events. So, without an end game in sight will always be there for you attention to more pressing issues.
There is a big reason why people work more efficiently to deadlines. It's because the brain starts a mini fight-or-flight response, allowing them to focus even more efficient.
Okay, so that is the traditional model and it's all well and good, but I want to help you to make your goals even more effective by turning SMART in smarter.
When you're setting goals you are aware of the impact on you and those close to you. So you want to be a problogger and plan so many hours long as needed to achieve that?
How will that affect the relationships with your loved ones? How will it affect your social life and your health? How will you pay bills if you build up your next?
The answers are not reasons not to try, or to exit before you begin. But they are things that must now be taken into account, so they don't stumble you further on the road.
This is the really big as far as I am concerned, and it is the thing that so many people miss it or just don't get it.
What is your reward for having a successful blog?
I'm not talking about money here: I'm on a deeper level than that. We are talking about values and what is of fundamental importance to you at the level of your identity.
What drives you really? If you think that money, what gives you that money? Maybe it's freedom, peace, security, meaning, or you may want to leave a legacy.
It doesn't really matter what it is, as long as you know. This is what comes to motivate you if and when things get tough.
If you can't with a reason that will get you out of bed at 5: 00 excited about the day ahead, then there is a high probability that you will burn out sooner rather than later.
I am a Life Coach as an example because I love helping people. I don't earn as much money as I did when I worked in sales, but I way happier and, more importantly, I'm know why I do what I do. Do you have?
